So this week was the official kick-off of the Final Thesis at Domus Academy, MA I-Design. The topic which I’ve decided to investigate and work on is the topic of “LIGHT EMITTING DESIGNS” aka LEDs.
Essentially we are required to design an interactive light piece. This blog will serve as a medium for me to archive and share my research and works-in-progress as I develop my Master Thesis.
Of course, comments are welcome. Cheeeeeeers!

Domus Academy 2008 – accessOS x ITSME Project
Project Leaders: Chiara Diana, Claudio Moderini
Collaborators:
Lars Rosengren, Lionel Chen Chu-Hsiang, Jonning Chng
Abstract
The project focuses on developing a user interface for an operating system built upon the metaphor of story telling, incorporating relations between people and communication, as fundamental building blocks. We focus on how to design a structure for how to navigate, create, edit, share and collaborate on multiple stories. Eden 2.0 is a representation of your life stories, visualised as a garden of trees, outside your window. It captures a concept for how to interact and navigate through an operating system built on stories and relations. The design aims to provide a powerful collaboration environment, while incorporating simplicity and an easy to understand organic structure of navigation. (more…)
